CONNELLY-Peter E.

Age 79, of Grand Island, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024.  Born on February 24, 1944 in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Edmund and Dorothy (Bewick) Connelly.  Mr. Connelly was employed as a Psychiatric Nurse at Buffalo State Hospital, the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, and Erie County Medical Center.  Peter also served in the New York State Guard for 20 years, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel in 2013.  He is survived by two sons, Adam D. Connelly and Jonah E. Connelly; a daughter, Caitlin (Daniel) Lawrence; three grandchildren, Siobhan Connelly, and Daniel and Saoirse Lawrence; his wife, Maureen (Kelleher) Connelly and his dear friend, Susan Fitzrandolph. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Brumpton.  A celebration of Peter’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 13th, from 12-2 p.m., in the HOSPITALITY ROOM OF OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).  Friends invited.
