Peter Richard Swearengen, 70, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on December 18, 2025 at Niagara Hospice House. Born on October 21, 1955 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Clarence and Rita (Whysong) Swearengen and his mother that raised him, the late Florence (Johnson) Swearengen.
Peter started work at the Niagara Gazette as a paper boy then driver. He also was employed at Union Carbide, along side his father for many years, then Peter was a painter for Union Local #112, until his retirement in 2008. Peter loved working on cars and raced at Ransomville Speedway for a short time and was also a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching it with his father, that's where you's find him on a Sundays.
Peter is survived by one brother, David Swearengen; three sisters, Debra Jenks, Deborah (Peter) Pietrangeli and Pamela (David) Day and many nieces nephews and cousins.
At the request of Peter, there will be no services. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.
