Richard M. Runge

Richard M. Runge, 43, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.  

Richie, as he was known to family and friends, was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools.  He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for United Materials and currently, up until his illness, Preferred Materials, LLC. Richie enjoyed fishing, woodworking and working on projects.  He was a talented cook and was an expert on the grill. Above all else, Richie loved spending time with his family and friends.

Richie is survived by his loving wife, Heather Guiliani Runge; daughter, Aleseah Runge; siblings, Crystal Martin, Chadd (Tanya) White, Mark (Becky) Roma, Jorge (Lauriejean McDonald) Santiago, Johnny Smith and Hawk Martinez; mother-in-law, Doreen 'Momma' (Tom) Drzewiecki; father-in-law, Leon (Lucy Kowalski) Guiliani; brother-in-laws, Craig (Ania Catlin) Guiliani and Cody (Melanie Carr) Guiliani; his dog, Zoey and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his mother, Alice Marie Runge; grandmother, Rose Marie Runge; grandfather, Franklyn Karl Runge, Jr.; uncles, Dave M. Runge and Dale 'Chooch' Runge; nephew, Donathon D.D. Martin and brother-in-law, Daniel Koslicki.

The family will be present on Thursday, October 28th from 2-7 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where Richie’s funeral service and life celebration will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m.  Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family.  Share condolences and view his tribute video at GOODLANDERCARES.com
