Richard Stahl Life story

Richard Russell Stahl, 96, of Ransomville, NY, passed away on December 12, 2025 at Niagara Hospice House.  Born on December 8, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Walter and Matilda (nee Herndl) Stahl and the husband of the late Barbara Ruth (Miller) Stahl.

Richard proudly served in the United States Army from April 10, 1951 until his honorable discharge on April 9, 1953.  He came to the local area in 2002.  Richard worked for New York City as a Firemen, Delevan Electronics in East Aurora,  NY and Ransomville Bus Lines as a Bus Driver. He enjoyed bike riding, playing pool and playing the accordion.

Richard is survived by children, Darlene (Frank) Brown, Sandra Dellaria and Gregory (Tracey) Stahl; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one daughter, Linda Lowery and one brother, Walter Stahl. 

Family and friends are invited to attend Richard’s funeral service on Saturday, December 27th, at 10:00 a.m. at Ransomville Free Methodist Church, 3924 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY.  Prayers of Committal and interment, concluding with Military Honors, will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY. The family invites all of you to join them in a memorial luncheon at 12:00 p.m. back at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Ransomville Free Methodist Church.
