Robert J. Hochadel, 84, of the Town of Lewiston, passed away on March 25, 2021. Born on May 15, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Peter Hochadel and the late Ruthie (nee Farrell) Hochadel. On March 11, 2003, Bob, as he was known to family and friends, married Debra Warner.
Bob was a lifelong resident of the Town of Lewiston and attended local schools. He attended the former Bishop Duffy High School and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. Bob went on to earn his journeyman electrician card and retired from the IBEW Local #237 Electricians Union, in the late 1990’s. He was a member of the Free Wheelers Car Club and enjoyed working on cars, fishing, trips to Canada and going to the casino.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by children, Robert J. Hochadel, Jr., Tami Manley, Karen (John) Lipa and Carole (Wade) Connor; step-children, Edward Wielgus, Daniel (Cara) Wielgus and R. Andrew Wielgus and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived a sister, Theresa and was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Carver.
