Robert Arthur Rust, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 17, 2025 at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born on July 18, 1930 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Jack Newcomb and Edith (Simon) Rust.
Robert proudly served in the United States Navy, during the Korean War, from 1952, until his honorable discharge in 1956. He earned his BS Degree from Buffalo State Teachers College and his Masters Degree in Earth Science from Arizona State University. Robert taught at Williamsville School System-Mill Middle School and North High School- and was the Planetarium director at North High School. He later was a Real Estate Broker.
Family member include a Son, Robert Charles (Pam McClary) Rust of Denver, CO; Daughter, Suzanne Elaine (Mark) Crotty of Colden, NY and Port Charlotte, FL; Grandchildren, Nichole (late Kevin) Bluff of Angola, NY, Kerri (Michael) Schmitt of Germany and Zachary Taylor Crotty (deceased); Great-grandchildren, Erin, Connor and Cierra Bluff, Torben, Adrian, Sienna and Max Schmitt and a sister, Jacqueline (Rust) Lueschen deceased 2024; one nephew, Charles D “David” Lueschen and a niece, Teresa A. Lueschen.
