Rodney Donald Amendt

Rodney Donald Amendt, of North Tonawanda, age of 77, passed away on July 26, 2024.  Born on February 26, 1947 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Robert and Annette (Savage) Amendt and the husband of the late Deborah (Waldeck) Amendt.

Rodney graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School and was employed for 3 decades as a mechanic for the City of Niagara Falls.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force, until his honorable discharge in 1972.

Rodney is survived by children, Shanon (Jon) Newell, Craig (Toni Marie) Waldeck and Scott (Alyssa) Amendt; grandchildren, Jordan Waldeck, Jonathon Newell, Samantha Newell, Mikayla McNamara, Madilynn Waldeck, Natalie Waldeck, Matthew Amendt and Skylar Amdent; two great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Savage; 6 brother and sister-in-laws and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides his parents and spouse, he was predeceased by 9 siblings, both adoptive and biological.
