Rosetta Marie (Thompson) Young

Rosetta Marie Thompson, born March 29, 1940 in Hazlehurst MS to Jesse Mae Thompson and Arthur Joseph Thompson. She moved to Chicago, IL in 1949. She went to DuSable High School where she met Flinard Young Jr at the age of 15. They later married Jan 10, 1957. 7 children were born to this union. She received Christ in 1971. She was a loving mother and wife. She leaves to mourn from oldest to youngest, Tina (John) Young-Nash, Cheryl (Joseph) Myles, Rita (Wallace) LaGrone, Lisa Young, Flinard Young III, Debra (Vincent) Davis and Monica Young. 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren that are on the way. She also leaves to mourn 2 sisters, Linda Gunn and Debra King. She was preceded in death by her Husband, her parents, 4 brothers, Arthur Thompson Jr, Clark Thompson, Luther Johnson Jr and Roland Johnson and 1 sister, Mary Young. She was cremated and ashes placed by family in a private ceremony.
