Ruth Elizabeth (Joyce) Sandonato

Ruth Elizabeth (Joyce) Sandonato, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 3, 2020.  Born on November 25, 1925 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel (Wagner) Joyce.  On January 6, 1948 she married Victor Sandonato in Wheatfield, NY.  He predeceased her on October 6, 1997.

Ruth was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY.  She loved puzzles, word searches, and crosswords, but nothing brought her greater joy than the Sunday visits from her family. Ruth was especially thankful to her granddaughter, Angela,  who cooked and cared for her for several years. Counted among her blessings the special friendship of her sister-in-law, Maxine.

Ruth is survived by children, Patricia (late Baltazar) Castillo, Victor (Patricia) Sandonato, Raymond (Patricia) Sandonato, Larry (Mary) Sandonato and John Sandonato; 11 Grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Charlotte (late Thomas) Dingwall, Ralph (late Burdella) Joyce, Carolyn (late Charles) Gray, Thelma Joyce, Howard (Maxine) Joyce, Leslie Joyce, Richard (late Stella) Joyce and Clarence (late Mary) Joyce.

Due to the current regulations, all services and interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery will be held privately with her family. Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
