Sally Catherine MacIver, 83, of Niagara Falls, New York, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026.
Sally was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was the forefront of her life. She will be remembered for her strength, humor, and the care she showed to those around her. In her community, she lovingly served as a “Grandmother with Hancy,” offering support to elementary schools. She was also a faithful member of Riverside Presbyterian Church.
Earlier in her life, Sally built a long and dedicated career at Peter Paul/Hershey chocolate factory in Naugatuck, CT where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment. You could often find her working on crosswords and puzzles in her free time, or spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her sisters Betty Post of PA, and Loumay Becchetti (Richard) of SC: her son, John MacIver (Lisa); her daughter Laurie Phillips (Charlie), and her daughter Kristi Murawski. She was a proud grandmother to Brandi Maguire (John), Anthony Sestito, Nicola Sestito, Brianna Phillips, Steven MacIver, Joseph MacIver, Robert Hamel, Jason Hamel, and Jake Murawski. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Mackenzie Fields, Adam MacIver, and SJ MacIver.
Sally’s family will always remember her strength, resilience, her humor and her zest. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Private services were held with her family. Sally’s family has entrusted her care to the Goodlander family, OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE (716-297-9007). Share condolences and memories at GOODLANDERCARES.com
