Shawn Robert Wheaton

Shawn Robert Wheaton, 37, of Newfane, NY, passed away on June 23, 2025.  Born on December 15, 1987 in Buffalo, NY, he was the beloved son of Wayne C. and Linda (Richter) Wheaton.  He graduated from Newfane High School.

Shawn was a loving father to Kya Reign, loved taking her for rides on the 4 wheeler, mini bike, swimming and canoeing the pond. He was an independent floor installer and formerly worked for Payne’s Carpet Outlet.  Shawn was creative in woodwork and loved working with his extensive tool collection as he had a passion for tools.

In addition to his parents, Shawn is survived by his daughter, Kya Reign; sister, Amanda Wheaton and his companion and mother of his daughter, Amber Klinger.  He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Wheaton.

All are welcome to gather for visitation on Saturday, June 28th, from 2-4 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).
