Sue (nee Buck) Bodemer, 65, of the Town of Niagara, NY, went home to be with the Lord on March 4, 2023 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born on November 16, 1957 in Corning, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald A. and Elsie (nee Varner) Buck. On January 15, 1977, Sue married Guy Bodemer.
Sue attended schools in the Corning-Painted Post Area School District. She was employed by Radisson Hotel Corning, the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce, The Rockwell Museum in Corning and Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, VA. Sue and her husband came to Niagara Falls in 2019.
Sue loved music and teaching children about Jesus Christ in Sunday School. She was currently attending Forestview Church of God in Niagara Falls and previously was a member of Halesford Baptist Church in Wirtz, VA and Riverside/Victory Highway Wesleyan Church in Painted Post, NY.
In addition to her husband, Sue is survived by sons, Andrew (Nicole) Bodemer and Brian Bodemer; grandchildren, Oliver and Hugo Bodemer and a sister, Pennie (Derrick) Phillipp. Besides her parents, Sue was predeceased by a step-brother, Donald E. Buck and a step-sister, Sonia (Robert) Freeman.
The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, March 11th, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Sue’s funeral service will follow visitation at 12 p.m., with Rev. Ronald Maines officiating. Friends invited. For those unable to attend, Sue's funeral service will be available via Facebook Live by visiting www.facebook.com/goodlandercares just before 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, in honor of her mother, memorial offerings may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
