Theresa ‘Tess’ (Kula-Seelbinder) McLeod of Niagara Falls, N.Y. passed away with her family by her side on January 30, 2026. A native of Olean, New York, she was the youngest daughter of Anthony and Mary (Kuwik) Kula. A graduate of Olean High School she also attended Niagara University.
Tess was employed by Niagara University for 24 years as an Administrative Assistant to the Academic Vice President. She was also Secretary to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Previous to that she was a Secretary at Clark Brothers Co. in Olean, N.Y.; Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp.; and Hooker Electrochemical Co. in Niagara Falls, NY.
Tess who was an avid reader also enjoyed gardening and flower arranging. During the football and hockey seasons she faithfully watched the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres teams. Most of all she loved spending time with her sons and their families. Tess was the wife of the late John A. McLeod and was also predeceased by her former husband William J. Seelbinder.
She is survived by her two dear sons Norman (Rebecca) Seelbinder and Jeffery (Cheryl) Seelbinder her grandchildren Jeffery Seelbinder II, April (Charles) Roberts, Adam (Shelly) Garcia, Kyle (Heather) Wickings and Nicole (Chas) Kirsch. She was also blessed with a great-granddaughter Zoey Marie Roberts and great-grandson Hudson Hartley Roberts. She is also survived by stepsons Donald (Joan) McLeod, Roderick (Cindy) McLeod, Ian (Marie) McLeod and step grandchildren Heather (Steve) Wolanski, Kim McLeod, Eric and (Remy) McLeod, Bradley (Raquela) McLeod, Erin McLeod, Donelle (Michael) Adamczyk, and their families. Tess was predeceased by her sisters Amelia Washburn, Josephine Hayden, Angeline Brown, Sophia Smith, Veronica Shea, Mary Hill and brothers Stanley Kula, Frank Kula and Walter Kula.
