Thomas W. Obrien, Sr.

Thomas W. Obrien, Sr., 73, of Newfane, NY, passed away on April 11, 2025 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.  Born on April 13, 1951 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas A. Obrien and Shirley (Lilley) Horton and the step-son of the late John 'Jack' Horton. 

Tom loved old cars and motorcycles. He also loved putting model cars together and drawing. 

Tom is survived by a son, Thomas W. Obrien, Jr.; siblings, Michael (Debbie) Horton, Michele Entwistle and Lisa Horton; several nieces, nephews and cousins and his best friend Michael Hanel.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his former spouse, Anita Dean Skye and a brother, John Horton, Jr.

Tom's Celebration of Life will be held at the Quaker Road Community Church, 2800 Quaker Road, Gasport, NY 14067 on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11 am with a luncheon to follow at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.
