William Charles Moore, II, 70, of the Town of Lewiston, NY, entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2022 and graciously donated to ConnectLife to benefit others in need. Born on April 26, 1952 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late William Charles Moore, Jr. and the late Irene (Sattelberg) Moore. On September 11, 1971, Bill married Linda Canterbury.
Bill was a lifelong area resident, graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School and earned his Bachelors Degree from Empire State College. He proudly served in the United Staes Army, during the Vietnam War, until his honorable discharge November 23, 1983. Bill retired as a Public Health Inspector, working for the Niagara County Health Department.
Bill had a strong faith in God. He loved his country, family and his four cats. Bill enjoyed gardening, old movies and tv shows, the outdoors, birthdays, holidays and celebrations, especially Christmas. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering for the Buffalo Bills.
In addition to his beloved wife, Bill is survived by sons, William Charles (Tricia) Moore, III and Aaron (Melissa) Moore; grandchildren, Ciara (Mike) Kislack, Anessa Moore, Benjamin Moore and Matthew Moore; great-grandson, Mason; 3 siblings, Karen, Susan and Scott and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, James 'Jimmy' Moore.
The family will be present on Saturday, May 21st from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Bill’s funeral service and life celebration, concluding with Military Honors, will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made toFirst Nations Develpoment Institute, The Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund or a charity of one's choice.
