William C. Whiting

William C. Whiting, also known as Bill, 68, of Grand Island, NY, passed from this life on February 1, 2026 at Erie County Medical Center.  Born on October 28, 1957 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Jean (Tasca) Whiting and the husband of the late Deborah J. (Cole) Whiting.

Bill graduated from LaSalle Senior High School.  He was a Jack-of-all-Trades, working for many types of businesses.  He enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles, car shows and all genres of music.

Bill is survived by children, C.J. Whiting and Brandy Whiting; brother, Daniel J. (Kathy McNally) Whiting and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is also survived by his loving companion, Marianne Stayner. Besides his parents and wife, Bill was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Whiting.

All are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, February 5th, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where Bill’s funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m.  The Christian Rite of Committal and entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
