William George Wilkinson

William George Wilkinson, 76, of Sanborn, NY, was called home into the loving arms of Jesus on May 18, 2020.  Born on May 13, 1944 in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of the late William O. and Jane R. (Copeland) Wilkinson.  On June 13, 1964, Bill as he was known, married Linda Lou Howard in Albany, NY. 

Bill attended schools in Pennsylvania and Niagara Falls, as he came here as a child with his family, and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School.  He then enlisted with the United States Coast Guard, stationed in Missouri and Hawaii, until his honorable discharge in 1969.  Bill was employed as a Maintenance Foreman for Carbide Graphite, until their closing and went on working for the KOA campground on Grand Island. He was a congregant and devoted member of Niagara Frontier Bible Church and an avid golfer.

In addition to his beloved wife, Bill is survived by children, William Wilkinson, II, Christopher R. (Kelly) Wilkinson, Sr., Robert A. (Sheryl) Wilkinson, Sr. and Susan M. (Larry) St. Cyr; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mark A. Wilkinson and Beth A. Wilkinson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Eileen Wilkinson.

Due to the current pandemic regulations all visitation and funeral services are private.  However, the family invites you to join them in celebrating Bill’s life via Facebook Live.  A live feed will be available for friends and family to participate in the funeral service beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 23rd at www.facebook.com/goodlandercares. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Frontier Bible Church. Arrangements are under the care of Michael R.
