Donna R. Brown, 75 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY following a brief illness. Born on August 16, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was  the daughter of the late James Summers and Ellen (nee Tubridy) Summers King.

Donna attended local schools and proudly received her high school diploma in 1990 at the age of 49. She was employed as a bus aide for 15 years with the Niagara Falls Board of Education. Donna enjoyed playing bingo and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donna is survived by two children, Bonnie L. (Marco) Aronne of Niagara Falls, NY and Joanne Brown of Niagara Falls, NY; nine grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings, Ann (Robert) Swendsen of Lockport, NY, Nancy (late Ronald) Brown of Oregon, Rose Marie Truswell of Canada and Linda (Charles) Crewe of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas H. Summers Sr., James Summers and one sister, Dolores Jessuph. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21st from 3-7pm in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara (716-297-9007) where a funeral service will be held on Thursday September 22nd at 11:00 am with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Drive, Suite 102, Amherst, NY 14226.
