John "Scott" Ryc

John "Scott" Ryc, 54, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital.  Born on June 24, 1961 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late John Joseph Ryc and the late Shirley Viola (Herman) Grose.  

Scott is survived by his longtime companion, Gail Jones of Niagara Falls, NY and her family and his step-father, Ted Grose of Youngstown, NY.

Scott as he was known to family and friends, was a lifelong area resident.  He attended local schools and graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School.  For several years, Scott was employed by Buffalo Abrasives in North Tonawanda, up until his passing.  He was a member of the DSO Fishing Club as well as the social club at Buffalo Abrasives.  Scott was an extremely talented gardener.  He enjoyed ice fishing, cooking, flea markets and various outings with his companion, Gail.
