Thomas H. Summers, Sr

Thomas H. Summers, Sr., 61, of Fillmore, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Sunday, March 15, 2015 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY, following a brief illness. Born on March 31, 1953 in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of the late James Summers and the late Ellen (nee Tubridy) (late Tillman) Summers King.

Thomas attended local schools and in June of 2008 moved to Fillmore, NY. He was employed as a certified electrician for Union Carbide. Thomas enjoyed being outdoors and hunting. Above all, 'Gramps', as he was known to family and friends, loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Thomas is survived by two children, Thomas H. 'Tom' (Dawn) Summers of Newfane, NY and Jennifer (Jason) Fisher of Niagara Falls, NY; four grandchildren, Courtney and Patrick Summers and Jason and Mason Fisher and his former spouse, Robin Summers of Niagara Falls, NY. He was also survived by five siblings, Ann (Robert) Swendsen of Lockport, NY, Donna Brown of Niagara Falls, NY, Nancy (late Ronald) Brown of Oregon, Rose Marie Bissell of Canada and Linda (Charles) Crewe of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by one brother, James Summers and one sister, Dolores Jessuph.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-3 and 5-9 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Lauricella officiating.
