I remember Roddy growing up from Pacific Ave. school to LaSalle Jr. High.
We were reunited again at Norfolk, he in the Navy and I in the Marines. We had a great time going over past school day memories.
May you be comforted and have peace knowing that he is in God’s hands.
My prayers are for you and your family to have solace.
You will always have the memories of Rod and all the good times you shared with him.
God bless you all.

What a super guy. Grew up with Roddy. He on 65th. me on 66th. Street. We always had so much fun with Roddy & the rest of our families. He'll be up there with my brother Jackie & reminisce about the old neighborhood. RIP Roddy!!!!!

My Uncle Roddy, not only was my uncle, he was a father figure and mentor all through my life. He was always there to give me advise and lend a hand. He helped me buy my first and second car, and taught me how to drive a stick shift! And, if it were not for him nagging my mom to take the plunge and let me drive with my permit......

One funny note about growing up with a super hero in my life, I think that I kept in line knowing that at any moment, a bright spotlight from a trooper car could shine my way catching me doing something that he warned me not to do.

I miss him and the thought of him not being on this earth, but knowing that he is looking down at us all, smiling and standing strong next to his loving parents, Rod and Frances O'Donnell, gives me comfort. The love that he showed all of us in his family, to his sisters, nieces and nephews was inspiring. I know that Uncle Roddy knew how much his family loved him and he will be missed greatly.
